Water Soluble Plastic Film

Water Soluble

HYDROFILM is a new generation of plastic film with very specific technical, physical and mechanical characteristics much better than those of PE and PP. But above all, it is characterised by its watersolubility and biodegradability.

HYDROFILM is watersoluble above a specific temperature (W.S.T. - Water Solubility Temperature). The WST characteristic can be varied according to the specific application. The material is completely inert, if it comes in contact with traditional solvents (benzines, toluenes, nitrosolvents, oils, greases & thinners). It is impermeable to gases, vapours and odours with a barrier effect higher than that of EVA.

Applications:

Packaging of agricultural chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, powder sowings and oily solvents to be dissolved in water.

Packaging of dyeing chemicals used in the leather and textile industries

Pharmaceutical medical and hospitals: Mono doses of dangerous chemicals, packaging of disposable clothing.

Hydrolene can be formed into films with thicknesses ranging between 25 to 200 Microns

Mechanical resistance is up to 3 times better than PP and PE

Rolls: 350mm Diameter. Core Sizes: 28mm, 76mm, 110mm, 150mm

Tubular form from 70mm to 1300mm wide

Mono Folded from 100mm to 1300mm wide

Flat Film up to 1400mm

Hydrofilm must be stored in a dry ventilated area at temperatures between 5 to 30C with humidity between 20% to 70%. Hydrofilm must be used within 6 months from delivery as the oxidation process of PVOH can cause a whitish colouring of the film, however the solubility characteristics will not be affected.
