NATURALBOX®, is the new totally compostable container made of expanded PLA material.

Naturalbox® is the most recent result of the work carried out in European Laboratories, which have been focusing on a very timely issue raised by the Distribution Network and by the Food Industry, namely the protection of the environment.
Naturalbox® is ideal for packaging and displaying fresh meats, fish, cheese, delicatessen, fruit and vegetables and ready-to-serve foodstuffs. Thanks to its high mechanical resistance, it can be used in the normal packaging lines with stretch films or with PLA film sealing, in order to obtain a 100% recyclable package. The fact that Naturalbox® is manufactured with expanded material allows a better absorption of any meat liquids.

Naturalbox® containers are produced using raw material derived from renewable sources, after use this material is entirely biodegradable and it breaks down into carbon dioxide and water. Since the containers are made of one single material, they can be collected and recycled for other uses. The expansion process, performed by using atmospheric gases, makes it possible to use lower amounts of raw material.


Also the package used for delivering the trays to the clients is biodegradable and has been designed to reduce by one third the volume which is usually necessary for traditional trays, so that you can save space when storing them. Naturalbox® trays are the most appropriate packaging solution for fresh foodstuffs: they are environment-friendly, safe, clean and functional.
