| Compostable with household compostable waste, to provide nutrients to the soil and closing the cradle to cradle cycle. Based on polylactic acid, derived from corn starch, the resin is modified to improve product flexibility whilst staying rigid. Improved barrier properties enhance product shelf life, it can be frozen without becoming brittle. The resin is processed at a reduced temperature thereby reducing the energy cost of production. A viable alternative to using non biodegradable packaging. When the product made from plant material has fulflled its role, it is composted and releases nutrients back into the soil and repeats the cycle.
