BioPak highly commended in the Australian Packaging Awards.

BioNet from BioPak was recognised as an innovative product in the recent Australian Packaging Awards and was highly commended.

Extruded netting is pervasive in both our shopping bags and in landfill, and although highly effective as a carryall, brings problems for the environment. Now this humble product has been reinvented as Bionet – made from a compostable polymer that is guaranteed to break down after 180 days in industrial compost. The biopolymer is easily extruded using existing equipment and performs just as well as traditional netting. It is available in a range of colours, tube diameters and strand gauges to suit varying applications.

Funky Pies Voted the most environmentally friendly business in Bondi, 2009

To be really green, we needed to consider all aspects of the business. We have used products such as lead free paint on all walls, installed a water saver tap for our kitchen sink, we use energy-saver down lights as well as contribute to the renewable energy grid, all staff wear sweat-shop free uniform t-shirts, our coffee is organic and fair-trade, and soon to be seen
