Introducing BioBowl, the new eco-friendly food container.
BioBowls are great for any hot to-go meal such as noodles or soup. Lined with Ingeo plant based plastic, these cups have the same functionality as conventional food containers but their moisture proof barrier is made from plants, not oil.
Therefore, it is fully renewable and leaves a smaller environmental footprint.

BioBowl can be composted in a commercial compost facilty, however this option is not widely available in Australia.
If the BioCup ends up in landfill, it still has upstream environmental benefits, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.
To gain maximum advantage though, the containers should be recycled in the waste paper stream. BioPak Coffee cups and bowls have been tested and approved for recycling by a major Australian paper recycling facility.
Another disposal option is composting, thereby completing a cycle by enriching the earth that helped produce it. For those concerned about the environment, its a happy ending for a takeaway pack that's just beginning to make its mark in Australia.
